Welcome to Getting Real With Hilary. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of gettingrealwithhilary.com (the “Site”) and the courses, coaching, shows, newsletter, products and other services offered by Hilary Burns and Getting Real With Hilary (“we”, “us” or “our”). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account, buy products or book coaching. By using the Site, you confirm that the information you give us is accurate and complete.
Some features, such as courses, require an account. You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity under your account. Please tell us right away if you think your account has been used without your permission. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or are used for spam, fraud or abuse.
When you enroll in a free or paid course, we give you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access and use the course materials for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, share, resell, record, distribute or publicly display any course content, or share your login with others.
Coaching sessions are booked through our scheduling tool. Please give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Missed sessions without notice may not be refunded or rescheduled.
Our courses, coaching, book, shows, podcast, blog and other content are for educational and personal development purposes only. Coaching is not therapy, counseling, or medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for working with a licensed professional. You are responsible for your own decisions, actions and results. We do not guarantee any particular outcome.
All content on the Site, including text, videos, audio, graphics, logos, course materials and the Getting Real® name, is owned by or licensed to Getting Real With Hilary and is protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. You may not use, copy or reproduce it without our written permission, except for sharing links or short quotes with credit.
When using the Site, you agree not to:
The Site links to and uses third-party services such as YouTube, Spotify, Amazon, Calendly, Constant Contact and social media platforms. We are not responsible for their content, policies or practices, and your use of them is at your own risk.
The Site and all content and services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not promise that the Site will always be available, error-free or secure.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Getting Real With Hilary and Hilary Burns will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or our services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
You agree to protect and hold harmless Getting Real With Hilary and Hilary Burns from any claims, losses or expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of the Site or your breach of these Terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. By continuing to use the Site after changes are posted, you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which Getting Real With Hilary is based, without regard to conflict of law rules.
Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use your information.
